Original Project #10: Combat Roadster

Inspiration: 2x2 curved bricks

Description: The roadster uses these curved bricks to form a cool hood/front, has a solid, armored look, and has a rotateable turret on the roof.

Best Part: The front, with the curves and otherwise cool look.

Rebuilding #1: 7669 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter

Inspiration: 7669 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter

Description:
Keeping most of the frame, I added an open cockpit, stronger wings, and ... err ... colorful appearance.

Best Part:
This is one of the rare builds where I did not bother to use a color scheme. The best part is thinking that it might look better if I had.

PSA #4: New Segment

Just an update on The Flying Whale:

I'm starting up a new segment, called Rebuilding, which will feature sets that I have either rebuilt or edited in some way. The segement "Original Projects" will still feature things that have built on my own, drawing inspiration from other things but remaining largely 'original' works. Enjoy!

Original Project #9: Robot Character

Inspired By: Lego Alpha Team Robot "TeeVee"

Description:
This robot is very compact and durable, while maintaining a pleasing aesthetic. As always, colors can be changed to suit your taste. The arm/scanner/laser on the side is drawn from a minifigure robot from the LEGO Alpha Team sets.

Breakdown:
Relies on two 1x2-double-sided-studded pieces, as seen in the picture below:

Best Part:
It just looks cool.

PSA #3: Bricklink

If you are unaware of the awesomeness that is http://www.bricklink.com/ , it's the best place to buy and sell legos on the internet. You can find individual pieces and minifigs for better prices than most other websites. Check it out!

Original Project #7: Robot of Light

Inspired By: Transparent Lego pieces

Description: This powerful robot utilizes light energy to power his laser weapons

Arms and legs are fully positionable. Capable of flight due to the powerful wings on its back.

Light wires bring power to its weapons from the reactor at its core.

Blast shield protects the crystal power core.

Best Part: Personally, I like the look of the light wires, and the large cannon on its shoulder.
